Terms and Conditions

The basis on which you use our website, request an introduction, and deal with independent installers.

Last updated: 12 October 2026

Draft for review. This is a general-information template, not legal advice. Confirm the exact legal operator and commercial arrangements, and obtain a UK legal review before treating these as final service terms. The quote-enquiry journey is not yet installed on the current homepage.

1. About EnergyAdvise

This website is operated under the name EnergyAdvise.co.uk (“EnergyAdvise”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Our address for correspondence is 71-75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ. You can contact us at support@energyadvise.co.uk.

EnergyAdvise provides general home-energy information and a service intended to introduce UK homeowners to relevant installer partners. We are a matching service, not an installer. We do not design, supply or install energy products through this website.

The exact registered legal entity and applicable company-registration details must be confirmed before final publication. These terms govern use of our website and introduction service; they do not replace an installer's own contract.

2. Using the website and making enquiries

Please read these terms before using the service. Any enquiry form must make the applicable terms available before submission and provide appropriate acceptance where a contract is intended. These terms do not, by themselves, turn a page visit into marketing consent.

If you submit an enquiry, provide accurate, current information and only provide another person's details if you are authorised to do so. Tell us about material changes which affect an enquiry or introduction.

We may be unable to arrange a relevant introduction if the information supplied is incomplete or if a suitable partner is unavailable. We do not guarantee that you will receive any particular number of quotes, that a provider will contact you, or that a product or offer will be available.

3. Installer introductions and quotes

Enquiry details may be passed to our installer partners so that they can contact you about the home-energy services you have requested. The enquiry journey must clearly explain the intended recipients and contact, and comply with our Privacy Policy and any necessary consent requirements.

Installers are responsible for their own advice, surveys, pricing, quotations, work, warranties and contractual obligations. If you decide to proceed, the relevant supply or installation contract is between you and the installer, unless you are clearly told otherwise before entering into it.

You should check an installer's credentials, insurance, scope of work, quoted assumptions, warranties, cancellation terms and total price before agreeing. Ask the installer to confirm suitability for your property. A listing or introduction is not a guarantee of workmanship, suitability, accreditation or price.

You are free to decide whether to proceed. An introduction does not oblige you to accept a quote or buy a product.

4. Information, suitability and savings

Website content is general guidance. It is not a substitute for a property-specific assessment or advice from an appropriately qualified professional. Information may change, and you should verify any material point with the relevant provider or official scheme before relying on it.

Suitability, performance, costs, grant eligibility and potential savings depend on your home, usage, installation and other circumstances. We do not guarantee savings, funding, performance or eligibility, and no technology suits every home.

Quotes and estimates are supplied by the relevant provider and may depend on surveys or further information. Check whether VAT, installation, ancillary work, ongoing costs and other charges are included.

5. Charges and commercial relationships

[Confirm whether EnergyAdvise charges homeowners and whether installers pay referral, lead or commission fees. Explain the applicable arrangement before the enquiry journey is launched.]

These draft terms do not claim that the service is free, that installers pay us, or that a commercial relationship is absent. Any fee payable by you must be clearly disclosed before you agree to it. Any relevant commercial influence on matching or presentation must also be explained accurately.

6. Privacy, cookies and marketing

Our Privacy Policy explains the planned collection of name, email address, telephone number and energy interests, sharing with installer partners, and your rights. Our Cookie Policy explains current external resources and planned Meta and Google tools.

A request for an installer introduction must not be treated as blanket permission for unrelated marketing. Separate marketing and tracking choices must comply with the applicable UK GDPR and PECR rules. You may object to direct marketing at any time.

7. Acceptable use and website content

Do not use the website unlawfully, impersonate someone, submit misleading enquiries, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious software, or interfere with the site's operation. Do not use another person's contact details for unwanted referrals.

Website materials are owned by us or used with permission, except where stated otherwise. You may view and print content for personal, non-commercial use. Other uses may require permission from the relevant rights holder. Nothing here overrides uses permitted by law.

Links to other websites are provided for information. Their operators are responsible for their own content, services, terms and privacy practices.

8. Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep the website useful and available, but it may be changed, suspended or unavailable for maintenance or other reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access.

We remain responsible for obligations which the law places on us. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected. We do not use these terms to remove mandatory rights or make you responsible for losses which the law requires us to bear. An installer's separate responsibilities must be assessed under your contract with that installer and applicable law.

9. Complaints and changes

For a complaint about EnergyAdvise, email support@energyadvise.co.uk or write to our address above. If a complaint concerns an installer's contract or work, contact the installer directly; we can help identify the partner introduced where appropriate.

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Changes will not remove rights already acquired or retrospectively alter an agreed contract without a lawful basis. Material changes to an ongoing service must be brought to the affected customer's attention where required.

10. Governing law

These terms are intended to be governed by the law of England and Wales. This does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in courts available under the law of their place of residence, including elsewhere in the UK.

Any jurisdiction clause and the final contractual acceptance process should be checked as part of the legal review before the introduction service is launched.
